Welcome to Lea & Simmons Funeral Group

In October 2018, Lea & Simmons Funeral Group owners Jody Lea, Elliott Simmons and Chris Lea purchased the Brownsville Funeral Home, Bells Funeral Home and Brownsville Memorial Gardens. All three owners started their funeral career with the Brownsville-Bells Funeral Homes and we are delighted for this opportunity to expand our professional funeral services to Haywood, Crockett and surrounding counties. We are proud to be a locally owned small business that is dedicated, professional and experienced in serving all of our families. We will still continue to operate all 3 locations in their current facilities and under the same names.

If you have already prearranged your funeral with us at Brownsville & Bells Funeral Homes, your preneed will remain the same and valid with the same insurance company.

As more families choose cremation as a means of final disposition, Lea & Simmons Funeral Group saw the need to add another facility to serve the needs of our families. In fall of 2018, Lea & Simmons Funeral Group opened West Tennessee Crematory located on the grounds of Lea & Simmons Funeral Home and is equipped with the state of the art cremation equipment.
