Staff Memorial

Rex F. Bond, a long time icon in the funeral business in West Tennessee passed away on February 29, 2012 at his home on the Hatchie River. Rex was born and raised at Bond's Crossing, just on the edge of the Madison and Haywood County line. He was a graduate of Haywood High School and Gupton's School of Mortuary Science in 1959, where he served as class president. Rex worked in the funeral industry for over 50 years as a licensed funeral director and embalmer. He joined the staff of Lea & Simmons in March of 2011. He is survived by his much loved wife of 18 years: Harriet Kizer Bond, Brownsville, TN, two daughters: Tina Bond, Memphis, TN and Lura Bond Alyea and her husband, David and his daughter, Wendy, all of Cordova, TN.
