Obituary of Stan Kennedy

Stanley Eugene (Stan) Kennedy, age 52, passed away Tuesday, July 6, 2021, at TriStar Centennial Medical Center in Nashville, TN. Stan was born on July 18, 1968, in Haywood County. He was a Sergeant for the Haywood County Sheriff’s Office-Jail Division. He also was a member of the Fraternal Order of Police. He loved his job and found fulfillment in helping the people of Haywood County. He loved NASCAR, and he enjoyed Marvel Comics, fireworks and was known to have a great sense of humor. Stan is survived by his mother, Ann Chamberlain; his daughter, Christa Kennedy; one sister, Nina Kennedy Wilson; one niece, Chelsie Denevan (Cody); two great nieces, Caralee and Cadence Denevan, all of Brownsville, TN. He was preceded in death by his father, Pete Kennedy, Jr., his paternal grandparents, Pete Kennedy, Sr. and Merle Kennedy and maternal grandparents, George and Earnestine Chamberlain. A Memorial Celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, July 10, 2021, at 5:00 PM in the home of his mother, Ann Chamberlain, 1800 Anderson Avenue, Brownsville, TN. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorial contributions be made to the America Heart Association, P.O. Box 840692, Dallas, TX 75284-0692. All services and arrangements are under the direction of the Lea & Simmons Funeral Home in Brownsville, TN.
