Obituary of Elizabeth "Becky" Pearson

Elizabeth Helen Pearson “ Becky” of Mason, TN, age 84, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 12, 2021, at NHC Healthcare in Somerville, TN. A passionate animal lover, she was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond T. Pearson “Tommy” and Flanigan, Folly, Sheba, Sissy, Joey, Pookie, Clancy, and many, many more furry friends who joyfully welcomed her home from across the Rainbow Bridge. Left to celebrate her life are her daughters Rosemary (Dave) and Kathleen “Kathy”. She was loved and will be missed by 5 grandchildren and 7 great- grandchildren. Becky loved the beach, and in her younger years, sunbathing. She enjoyed fancy cars and traveling. She was voted Best Voice in her senior year of high school, and loved to sing, play piano, and had a small acting debut in a few local plays throughout her life. She enjoyed her coffee and tea, while socializing out on her porch. She has a passion for saving animals small and large, and was always known for her house full of furry friends. She was a proud Navy wife, and loved her family. She enjoyed shopping, needlepointing, literature, and writing her own poems. To honor her memory, treat every living thing with kindness. Graveside Services will be held at the West Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery, 4000 Forest Hill Irene Rd., Memphis, TN on July 26, 2021, at 11:00 AM. Memorial gifts are requested to the animal charity of the donor’s choice. All services and arrangements are under the direction of the Lea & Simmons Funeral Home in Brownsville, TN.
