Brownsville native Justin Vanstory, 39, passed away on July 20, 2021, at Medstar Washington Hospital in Washington, DC. Funeral Services for Justin Vanstory will be on Thursday, July 29, 2021, at 10 AM at the Brownsville Funeral Home Chapel in Brownsville, TN with Bro. Ralph Brown officiating. Entombment will follow at Brownsville Memorial Gardens Mausoleum with Dr. Fred Campbell officiating. Visitation for Justin will be held on Wednesday Evening, July 28, 2021, from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM at the Brownsville Funeral Home Chapel. Justin was born on January 19, 1982, in Jackson, TN, to Greg and Sherry Vanstory. He attended Mississippi State University where he was an active member of Phi Gamma Delta fraternity, then transferred to the University of Memphis, where he graduated with a degree in Supply Chain Management. He was a huge fan of MS State athletics and was so proud when the Bulldogs won the College World Series in June, 2021. He worked many years for Huntington Ingalls in Pascagoula, MS, before moving to Washington, DC, to be with his longtime girlfriend, Regina Zilbermints, where he worked for Leidos. At a very early age, Justin developed a love for golf, and his favorite thing to do was to beat his uncle BoBo at the game. He also enjoyed baseball, bike riding, and being with his girlfriend, Regina, and dog, Willie. Justin was the best example of how to live every day to the fullest. He did not allow life to happen to him, but, rather, created the life he wanted to live. May we all aspire to be more like him. He is survived by his parents, Greg and Sherry Vanstory (Brownsville); sister, Misty Vanstory (Raleigh); Godparents, Steve (BoBo) and Kathy Vanstory (Brownsville); his girlfriend, Regina Zilbermints (Washington, DC); and countless aunts, uncles, and cousins. He is preceded in death by his Grandparents, Bobby and Janie Perry (Brownsville), and Edward & Bootsie Vanstory (Brownsville). Pallbearers for the service are Steve “Bobo” Vanstory, Michael Vanstory, Scott Vanstory, David Perry, Mike Perry and Josh Perry. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to: American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 7023, Merrifield, VA 22116-7023. All arrangements and services are under the direction of the Brownsville Funeral Home in Brownsville, TN.
