Obituary of Donald Lee Lewis

Donald Lee Lewis, age 55, passed away on Friday, August 20, 2021, at the Jackson-Madison County Hospital in Jackson, TN. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, August 25, 2021, at 2:00 PM at the Lea & Simmons Funeral Home Chapel in Brownsville, TN with Bro. Ron Davidson officiating. Entombment will follow in the Brownsville Memorial Garden Mausoleum. A Visitation for Mr. Lewis will be on Wednesday, August 25, 2021, from 12:00 PM – 2:00 PM at the Lea & Simmons Funeral Home Chapel. Donald Lewis was born in Fort Wayne, IN on June 5, 1966. He served his country proudly in the United States Army and the National Guard. He was the owner of the Lewis Trucking Company and Lewis Towing & Recovery. He was one who loved life and loved his family. He enjoyed racing, tractor pulling, and the Tennessee Vols He is survived by his mother, Judy Depner of Lexington, TN; one son, Donnie Ray Lewis (Savannah) of Brownsville, TN; one daughter, Lauren Martin (Thomas) of Memphis, TN; two brothers, Billy Burse of Brownsville, and Allen Lewis of Covington, TN; one sister, Bobbie Burse Coulston of Brownsville, TN; his long time significant other Stephanie Langley; He also leaves behind four grandchildren, Kaden Martin, Casten Martin, Bentley Lewis and Tinleigh Lewis . He was preceded in death by his father, Edward Lee Lewis and one brother, Ronnie Lewis. Pallbearers for the service are Randy Cox, David Littlejohn, Chris Langley, Jeremy Roberts, Kevin Nolen, Billy Roberts. Honorary Pallbearers are the 1175th Combat HET. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorials be made to Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital, 50 N. Dunlap Street, Memphis, TN 38103, or Samaritans Purse, P.O. Box 3000, Boone, NC 28607. All arrangements and services are under the direction of the Lea and Simmons Funeral Home in Brownsville, TN.
