Obituary of William "Bill" Pate

William “Bill” Pate, age 54 passed away on Wednesday, September 15, 2021, at the Jackson-Madison County General Hospital in Jackson, TN. A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, September 21, 2021, at 10:30 AM, at the Long Heights Baptist Church in McKenzie, TN. Bill was born on March 21, 1967, in Memphis, TN. He was a resident of Dresden, TN. He was self-employed as a farmer. He served many years in law enforcement. He was a member of Long Heights Baptist Church in McKenzie, TN. He loved animals, and especially enjoyed farming and being outdoors. He was awarded a Black Belt from Jerry Warren Samuri Academy in Placentia, CA. He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Marta Pate of Dresden, TN; one brother, Edsel Pate, Jr. of Barstow, CA; 5 nephews, 3 nieces, and several great-nieces and great-nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edsel and Mary Janette Pate. All arrangements and services are under the direction of Lea and Simmons Funeral Home in Brownsville, TN.
