Emory retired from Celanese in the mid 1980’s while living in Louisville. After retirement, Emory and Carol Davis, owned and operated two small glass companies in Louisville. A faithful Christian, Emory was a devoted member of Southeast Christian Church and studied for years as a member of Bible Study Fellowship. His warm demeanor, strong intellect, quick dry wit and humor endeared him to all he met. With the skill of a talented craftsman, Emory deeply enjoyed wood working in his extensive shop built over many years. Emory was preceded in death by his parents and his eldest daughter Barbara June Davis Fitzgerald (Tom). Emory is survived by his wife, Carol Davis; his son, Robert (Bob) Davis (Rebecca); his daughter, Elizabeth Davis (Jeff Irish) and his stepson, Steven Jacques (Erin).
