Obituary of Thomas Bynum Morgan, Jr.

Mr. Thomas “Tom” Bynum Morgan, Jr., age 76, passed away Wednesday, August 15, 2018 at St. Frances Hospital in Bartlett, TN. Funeral Services will be conducted Saturday, August 18, 2018, at 12:00 PM in the Lea and Simmons Funeral Home. Burial will follow at 3:00 PM in Forest Hill Cemetery, 2440 Whitten Rd, Memphis, TN. A visitation will be Friday, August 17, 2018, 5:00 - 7:00 PM in the Lea and Simmons Funeral Home. Tom was a devoted Elvis fan, an administrative assistant to Sheriff Gene Barksdale and retired as property maintenance supervisor with the City of Memphis. Mr. Morgan was preceded in death by his first wife, Elizabeth Morgan, his second wife, Shirley Morgan, his parents, Thomas B. Morgan, Sr. and Pearl Marcum Morgan and a sister: Brenda Delaet.

He is survived by his two children, Beth Watson (Randy) and Tommy Morgan, both of Whiteville, TN, two brothers: Ronnie Dennis (Jane) and Nicholas Misenti (Cheri), seven grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren.
