Obituary of Fay Gamble Presley

Mrs. Fay Gamble Presley, age 91 passed away Friday, October 5, 2018 in the Crestview Healthcare Center. Funeral Services will be conducted at 11:30 A.M., Monday, October 8, 2018 in the Lea & Simmons Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Brownsville Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Monday, October 8, 2018 from 10:00 – 11:30 A.M. in the Lea & Simmons Funeral Home. From gospel singings to ballgames to beauty pageants and school plays, Mrs. Fay loved supporting her family.  She loved having people in her home and particularly enjoyed family reunions on the Fourth of July.  For years, Mrs. Fay was a friendly face at the Shoe Box, and also used her expert sewing skills to serve so many in her community. Mrs. Fay was preceded in death by her husband, Charles W. Presley, Sr., two sons, Charles W. Presley, Jr. and Danny Presley, one brother, Billy Gamble and one sister, Sue Cantrell. She is survived by three children, Wanda Presley Hays (Herb), Jackson, TN, Barry Presley and Judy Stoots Westover (Grover), both of Brownsville, TN, one sister, Dottie Gamble Floyd (Don), Hendersonville, TN, twelve grandchildren, Stephanie Richardson, Neal Presley, Christi Bartlett, Rachel Overton, Lisa Simmons, Lori Smith, Leslie Presley, Scott Stoots, Russ Stoots, Brett Stoots, Jason Presley and Erin Williams, sixteen great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Brownsville Baptist Church Women’s Ministry, 5 N. Wilson, Brownsville, TN 38012.
