Mr. Bill Cheatham, age 88 was called to his heavenly home on Wednesday, October 24, 2018. A Celebration of Life Service will be conducted Friday, October 26, 2018 at 11:00 A.M. in the Christ Church of Brownsville with burial to follow in the Memphis Memorial Gardens. A visitation will be Thursday, October 25, 2018, 5:00 - 8:00 P.M. in the Christ Church. Known for his love and devotion to his Lord and Savior, “Jesus Christ” and was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and a true friend to so many. He was a “Mr. Fix-It” and once said, “he could fix anything, but a broken heart.” He was a “Papaw” to everyone. Mr. Bill retired from General Electric in Memphis, TN as a Service Electrician. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ewell Bennett and Serena Adeline Smith Cheatham, a brother, Roy Bennett Cheatham and a sister, Nancy Evelyn Futrell. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Louise Landreth Cheatham, two daughters, Diana Martin (Eddie), Debbie Meyer (Bill) all of Stanton, TN, a brother, James Ewell Cheatham (Joanna) Tampa, FL, three sisters, Zana Fuller, Jackson, TN, Carolyn Peal, Marolyn Kail (Burl Wayne) both of Alamo, TN, two granddaughters, Kelly Lynn Martin, Lindsay Kaye Hendrix (Anthony), four great-grandchildren, Houston Martin, Heath Hendrix, Josie Kaye Hendrix and Jaylon Douglas In lieu of flowers, Memorials may be made to Christ Church of Brownsville, P.O. Box 1522, Brownsville, TN 38012.
