Obituary of Paschal Everett Sorrell

Paschal's Obituary Mr. Paschal "Pop" Everett Sorrell, age 83, of Brownsville, passed away Tuesday July 6, 2010, at Crestview Healthcare and Rehab Center. He was a Baptist, a retired employee of Haywood Element with 28 years service, and a member of the North American Hunt Club. He was preceded in death by his parents: James Newton and Mary Lou Flowers Sorrell; a daughter: Debora Lennette Boyd.; five brothers and two sisters. Funeral services will be at 11:00 A.M., Thursday July 8, 2010, in the Chapel of Brownsville-Bells Funeral Homes in Brownsville with Rev. Johnny Criswell officiating. Burial will follow in Brownsville Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Chris Sorrell, Ronnie Sorrell, Pat Sorrell, Doug McNeal, Dennis McNeal, and Derrick McNeal. Cathy Sweat will be an Honorary Pallbearer. Mr. Sorrell is survived by his wife of 62 years: Irene Sorrell; two daughters: Ida McNeal and husband Ray of Memphis and Catherine Elaine Alford and fiancé Eddie Criswell of Medina; seventeen grandchildren; twenty-eight great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association. Visitation will be 5:00-7:00 P.M., Wednesday, July 7, 2010, in the Chapel of Brownsville-Bells Funeral Homes in Brownsville.
