Archie's Obituary Mr. Archie Edward Overton, age 89, passed away Saturday, May 22, 2010, at Crockett County Nursing Home, Alamo, TN. He was preceded in death by his Parents: Dewey Hopkins Overton and Alta Mozell Hopper Overton; his wife: Velma Miller Overton and his oldest son: Archie Edward "Eddie" Overton Jr. Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 A.M., Tuesday, May 25, 2010, at the Brownsville-Bells Funeral Home Chapel in Bells, TN with Rev. Eddie Martin officiating. Burial will follow in Oakview Memorial Park Cemetery, Alamo, TN. Mr. Overton was a member of the First Baptist Church of Bells, TN. He was formerly an employee of Ketchum Carpet and Tile for over 56 years and he was also a former employee of the city of Bells. Mr. Overton is survived by two sons: Al Overton (Reta) and Marty Overton (Dana), all of Bells, TN; one daughter: Alta Virginia "Jennie" Estes (Russell), of Brownsville, TN; three brothers: D.H. Overton, Cordova, TN, Billy H. Overton, Memphis, TN and Jessie Lee Overton, Bells, TN; three sisters: Martha Pirtle, Memphis, TN, Dorothy Gill, Atwood, TN and Betty Sue Doolin, Southaven, MS; eight grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. Visitation for Mr. Overton will be held Monday, May 24, 2010 at the Brownsville-Bells Funeral Homes Chapel, Bells, TN from 5-8 PM.
