Alma Aline Pugh Parker Herbert November 21, 1925 - November 4, 2014 Alma Aline Pugh Parker Herbert, 87, went home to be with her LORD & Saviour on Tuesday, November 4, 2014. Miss Alma was born on November 21, 1925 and raised in Saltillo, TN. She is preceded in death by her parents, Doss & Nellie (Young) Pugh and her siblings, Tom, Sam & Mary. She moved to Memphis where she met her husband, Neil Herbert. They worked for Kimberly Clark until they both retired in 1976. Upon retirement, they moved to Brownsville and operated Herberts Music Company until they retired again in 2005. She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 51 years, Neil. Visitation will be Thursday, November 6 at 10am at the Brownsville-Bells Funeral Home Chapel, immediately followed by a funeral service at noon. Burial will be in Brownsville Memorial Gardens. Miss Alma is survived by her son, George "Bill" Parker (Norah) and daughter Carolyn Parker Hall (Brooks); 4 grandchildren, Neil Parker, Vincent Parker, Wendy Hall Nacrelli, and Valerie Parker Dillard; and 7 great grandchildren, Hunter, Caroline, Anabelle, Lucy, Molly, Kate, & Allie. Our family expresses deep appreciation to Alan Jones, Lori Jones, Kathy Hopper and their families, and her church family at Calvary Baptist Church in Brownsville for their love, support, and attention to Miss Alma in her final years. She will be greatly missed by all that knew her.
