Obituary of Martha Jean Gray Simmons

Martha Jean Gray Simmons April 26, 1934 - June 21, 2011 Graveside services for Mrs. Martha Jean Gray Simmons, age 77 of Gadsden, will be conducted at 1:30pm, Friday June 24 at the West Tennessee Veterans Cemetery. Visitation with the Simmons family will be from 10am until 12 Noon Friday at the Brownsville Funeral Home. Mrs. Simmons passed away Tuesday at her home surrounded by her loving family. Mrs. Simmons was born in Gates, Tennessee the daughter of the late William and Goldie Goforth McNeil. She was a nurse for many years at the Whiteville Hospital and was a Jehovah's Witness. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Woodrow Simmons. Her survivors are: 7 daughters-Pat Cunningham (Richard) Bailey of Brownsville Brenda (Ronnie) Nipp of Ripley, Tn Paula (Jeff) Hawkins of West Virginia Dana Jean Perez of Wimberley, Texas Sheila Beth Bernil of Gadsden, Tn Ginger Ellen Barcroft of Bolivar, Tn Tracy Faith Gray (Michael) Taylor of Gadsden, Tn 5 Grandchildren, 1 great grandchild.
