Obituary of Brenda Jean Matthis

Brenda Jean Matthis, age 70 passed away Sunday, May 26, 2019 in the Jackson Madison County General Hospital. Her Funeral Services will be conducted Thursday, May 30, 2019 at 5:30 P.M. in the Lea & Simmons Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Brownsville Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 3:30-5:30 P.M., Thursday, May 30, 2019 in the Lea & Simmons Funeral Home.

Brenda was a member of Union Grove United Methodist Church, a 30- year Breast Cancer Survivor and her greatest blessings were her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Ray Matthis, her parents, Gene and Louise Gent Mason and two son-in-laws, Lance Nace and Jeff Watson. She is survived by three daughters, Renee Sisk (Brian), Jackson, TN, Donna Nace-Hopper (Rodney), Bells, TN, and Kellie Matthis, Bells, TN, one sister, Linda Makulski (Rick), Chelsea, MI, one brother-in-law, Jack Matthis, Brownsville, TN, five grandchildren, Kyle Sisk, Braden Nace, Tyler Watson, Brilee Nace and Ava Mask, many special nieces and nephews and one special fur baby-“Punkin”.
