Obituary of Joe Parker, Jr.

Mr. Joel “Joe” Earl Parker, Jr., age 70, of Whiteville, TN passed away Saturday, June 29, 2019, in the Bells Nursing Home.  A memorial service will be conducted Tuesday, July 2, 2019 at 6:00 P.M. in the Lea and Simmons Funeral Home. A visitation will be Tuesday, July 2, 2019, 4:00 – 6:00 P.M. in the Lea and Simmons Funeral Home. Mr. Parker served in the Air National Guard and was a farmer in Haywood County. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joel Earl Parker, Sr. and Emily Wateridge Parker, his sister and brother-in-law, Mary Helen and Ennis McDaniel, and Peggy Daniels.
He is survived by two sons, Joel Earl Parker, III (Krista) of Brownsville, TN, Brooks Jordan Parker (Christy) of Oxford, MS,  two grandchildren, Emily Elizabeth Parker and Garrison Joel Parker, two sisters, Earline Caldwell of Memphis, TN, Glenda Thomas (Billy) of Brownsville, TN, as well as many nieces, nephews, family and friends.
