Obituary of Roberto Rodiguez Mendez

Mr. Roberto Rodriguez Mendez, age 52, passed away Tuesday, August 20, 2019 at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital in Jackson, TN.  A Memorial Visitation will be held on Friday, August 23, 2019 from 5 PM to 7 PM at the Lea & Simmons Funeral Home in Brownsville.  

He is survived by his wife Vickey Flowers Mendez, his father, Felipe Mendez, siblings, Irene, Francisco, Felipe, Irma, Juan, Manuel, and Rosario y Guadalupe Mendez.  Other survivors include a step-son, Eddie Copeland, Jr. (Melissa), step-daughters, Stormy Copeland (Shaun), Carmen Johnson (Thomas), eight step-grandchildren Joseph Gooch, Emily Gooch, Jacob Gooch, Jamie Copeland, Chase Copeland, Dustin Copeland, Shaun Copeland, and Libbie Copeland.  He was preceded in death by his mother Florentina Rodriguez

He worked as a welder, and was a big fan of soccer, and enjoyed watching it on television, especially the World Cup soccer matches.  He liked going out with his wife Vickey for a good meal.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Lea & Simmons Funeral Home to assist with funeral expenses.
