Jimmy Leon Phillips, age 63, passed away Sunday, February 9, 2020 at his home. Funeral Services will be conducted at 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, February 12, 2020 in the Harmony Baptist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday, February 11, 2020 from 5:00 – 7:00 P.M. in the Brownsville Funeral Home Chapel.
Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents, Edwin and Lillie Oneida Kelly Phillips, one son, Timothy Leon Phillips and two brothers, Edwin Phillips, Jr. and Eddie Lee Phillips. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Denise Elrod Phillips, Jackson, TN, one daughter, Becky Rainey (Billy), Nashville, TN, two sons, Jason Phillips (Amanda), Brownsville, TN, Justin Phillips (Britany), Jackson, TN, three sisters, Linda Pittman, Nita Joyce Pittman and Elizabeth Taylor, all of Whiteville, TN, and nine grandchildren, Luke Rainey (Stephanie), Ethan Rainey (Kaley), Micah Rainey, Lyla Rainey, Mason Phillips, Jacob Phillips, Lillie Phillips, Alivia Phillips and Levi Phillips.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Harmony Cemetery Fund, c/o Judy Hardister, 523 Monroe Street, Brownsville, TN 38012 or the American Cancer Society, Attn: Sharolett Allen, P.O. Box 879 Brownsville, TN 38012.
