Obituary of Catherine Rickard

Mrs. Catherine Louise Richardson Rickard, age 90, passed away on Tuesday, March 10, 2020, at her home in Brownsville, TN. Funeral Services will be conducted on Friday, March 13, 2020, at 12:00 PM at the Lea & Simmons Funeral Home in Brownsville, TN. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service beginning at 11:00 AM until 12:00 PM on Friday, March 13, 2020, at the Lea & Simmons Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be at Covington Memorial Gardens in Covington, TN. Catherine Rickard was born on January 26, 1930 in Covington, TN. She was married to James Rickard for 68 years. She devoted her life to the care of children and babies in our area. She was a faithful member of New Vision Baptist Church in Brownsville, TN. Mrs. Rickard is survived by two daughters, Vickie Archer (Clyde) of Covington, TN, Cindy Rickard of Brownsville, TN, and one sister, Brenda Peete of Covington, TN. She leaves a legacy of four grandchildren, Terri DeLoach (Jerry), Shane Thurmond (Melissa), Ricky Joe Davidson, Brandy Browder (Justin), nine great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Rickard, her parents, John James and Annie Mae Richardson James and two brothers, James Robert Richardson and John Adrian Richardson. Pallbearers for the service will be Jimmy Byrum, Griffin Davidson, Eric Moore, Tanner Moore, Bobby McCage and Robert Smith.
