Obituary of Jonathan Daniel Voss

Jonathan Daniel Voss, age 83, passed away on Tuesday, May 5, 2020, at his residence in Brownsville, TN. Mr. Voss was born on March 6, 1937 in Halls, TN. He was self-employed in Agriculture Sales. He served in the US Navy and the Tennessee National Guard. He grew up in Halls, TN and attended Halls High School, where he played on the State Championship Football team. He was a charter member of the Brownsville Moose Lodge, and had a love for dirt track racing and baseball. He is survived by two sons, Danny R. Voss and Michael Voss; three daughters, Shelia Banks (John), Katrina Voss, and Rhonda Livingston (Jim), all of Brownsville, TN; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Marvin Luther and Alpha Chambers Voss; three brothers, James Voss, Maurice Voss, W. C. Meeks and one sister, Katrina Stimpson. The family has requested Memorial Contributions to be given to the Brownsville Moose Lodge Building Fund, c/o Jeff Dew, P.O. Box 114, Brownsville, TN 38012. The family will have a private graveside service at a later date. Funeral Arrangements are under the direction of Lea and Simmons Funeral Home in Brownsville, TN.
