Obituary of Lara Overton Morton

Lara Gillian Overton Morton, age 49, passed away on Friday, May 15, 2020, at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital in Jackson, TN. She was born on February 13, 1971, in Jackson, TN to her parents, Larry and Barbara Buford Overton. She was employed as a nurse at the Whiteville Correctional Facility in Hardeman County. She is survived by her husband of four years, Johnny Morton of Crockett County. She is also survived by one son, Joshua Baird of Bells, TN; one brother, Jeremy Burns; two sisters, P.J. Arrington and Alana Vandiver. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Charles Edward Burns. The Morton Family will plan a Memorial Service to celebrate Lara’s life at a later date.
