Obituary of Carrie Ann Blevins

Carrie Ann Blevins, aged 50, passed away at her home in Brownsville Tn on June 24, 2020 at 2:00 P.M. after a long illness. She was surrounded by her family and transitioned peacefully. Carrie was born in Southhaven MI on July 28,1969 to the late Billy Dow Blevins and Barbara Jean Been of Drummonds Tn. Carrie was beloved by all who knew her. She enjoyed gardening, canning, and doing finish carpentry and cabinets with her partner for 15 years. She was talented, diligent, trustworthy and honest and she loved her family, devoting her time in recent years to doting on her grandchildren. Carrie was preceded in death by her stepfather , Robert Lee Means, and two brothers, Doug Blevins and Carl Means. She is survived by her mother, Barbara Jean Means of Drummonds; her partner of 22 years, Kevin Byrd of Brownsville; four children, Justin Brooks of Brownsville, Jessica Brooks of Nashville, Jayci Brooks of Rebecca Byrd of Mason; Seven brothers, Benjamin Blevins , David Means. and Andrew Means, all of Drummonds, Kenneth Means of Missouri, Jimmy Means of Trenton. Troy Blevins of Kentucky and Chris Blevins of Selmer; Three sisters ,Jeanne Kaminski of Canada, Amber Means of Munford and Roberta Ciccione of South Carolina. She leaves a legacy of love in her four grandchildren, Jaden Byrd, Jacob Byrd, and Jordan Byrd Jr., all of Mason and Solomon Bonner of Nashville. A Memorial Service is planned for Carrie at her home church on July 11, 2020 at 1 p.m. The Apostolic Church of Millington , 4209 Shelby Rd, Millington TN. Due to the continuing Covid-19 restrictions, there will be only limited attendance allowed. Close friends and family are invited to attend as we celebrate her life. Feel free to contact the family about seating as only 50-60 can be accommodated due to social distancing guidelines. All arrangements are under the direction of the Brownsville Funeral Home.
