Obituary of Johnnie Wilson Brown

Mrs. Johnnie Wilson Brown, age 89 passed away Wednesday, September 2, 2020 at Advent Health in Orlando, FL. Her Graveside Funeral Services will be conducted Wednesday, September 9, 2020 at 1:00 PM in the Oakwood Cemetery in Brownsville, TN with the Revered Timothy Guess officiating. Johnnie lived in Memphis, TN, where she was a devoted church member of Collierville Primitive Baptist Church. She was a loving mother, grandmother and an accomplished cook and gardener. She is survived by her daughter, Rebecca (Becky) Walker of Florida and a grandson, Ben Walker. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hoyt G. Brown, a son, Steve Brown, a grandchild, Stevie Brown, and her parents: Cornelius Dalton and Pattye Steele Wilson. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to: Collierville Primitive Baptist Church, 339 East Poplar Ave., Collierville, TN 38017. All services are under the direction of Lea and Simmons Funeral Home.
