Obituary of Bobby H. Whittington

Bobby Hughes Whittington, Sr. age 72, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 28, 2020 at his home in Brownsville, TN. Graveside Services will be conducted on Tuesday, December 1, 2020 at 1:00 PM in the Holly Grove Baptist Church Cemetery with Pastor Gregory C. Bowers officiating. He was born in Clarksdale, MS on January 17, 1948 to the late Emmett Jefferson Whittington and Nettie Alice Hughes Whittington. He worked for many years at Haywood Element. Also preceding him in death is one brother: Paul Whittington. He is survived by his wife of 19 years: Martha Louise Pulley Whittington of Brownsville, TN; two sons: Bobby Hughes Whittington, Jr. (Briahna) of Bourbonnias, IL and Kevin Robert Whittington (Laura) of Knoxville, TN; one daughter: Martha Ann Barnett of Henning, TN; two brothers: Horace Ray Whittington (Jessie) of Brownsville, TN and Emmitt Jefferson Whittington (Barbara) of Humboldt, TN; his best friend: Leon King of Brownsville, TN; And he leaves a legacy of eleven grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Pallbearers serving are Leon King, Steven Whittington, Bobby H. Whittington, Jr., Kevin R. Whittington, Eric Whittington and Jeff Whittington.
