Lastly, many nieces and nephews with whom he thoroughly loved learning and keeping track of when ‘Mom’ would share her on-line communications and FaceBook connections. Marvin was the proud Godfather in Christ for nieces, nephews and grandchildren. Marvin proudly served his country in the U S Navy. He remained affiliated and a fraternal member of the USS Benham Association-DD796 and the Colon, MI American Legion : 55+ year accommodations. Marvin managed 3 factory locations (Sturgis, MI, Auburn, PA, Brownsville, TN) for Bound Brook Bearing Co., with home offices in NJ. Following his assignment in Sturgis, MI, the family moved and lived in PA for 3 years (1966-1969) where he built and managed a new factory location in Auburn, PA. Marvin moved his family to Haywood County TN in 1969, where he built and managed another Bound Brook Bearing Co. In 1982, Marvin became the owner and managing partner of Brownsville Bearing, having purchased Bound Brook Bearing Co. The business was purchased by PressMET of England in the late 80’s, and currently operates under the name of DynaMETAL Technologies. Marvin was a communicant for over 50 years at St. John Catholic Church in Brownsville, Tennessee. He spent nearly 60 years in search of the elusive ‘hole-in-one’ on golf links with his family and dear friends. The golf was an enjoyable past time, but was framed by the many hours with his great friends that seemed to always adjust the length of the ‘gimmies’ based on the type of golf that happened to show up that day. There are no calling hours, and interment will be at Brownsville Memorial Gardens following a private Mass of Christian burial @ St. John Catholic Church in Brownsville, TN. All services and arrangements are under the direction of the Lea & Simmons Funeral Home in Brownsville, TN.
