Precious Mr.Bennie....... I had the honor and pleasure of teaching under the direction of Mr. Bennie, at Anderson, from 1975 to 1980. WHAT a blessing! Mr. Bennie was the perfect leader and educator. He was kind and patient, strong and firm, organized and prepared, yet compassionate and loving. I will forever be thankful for his direction and guidance in my first years of teaching, and credit him for preparing me for the 37 years I spent in public education as first a teacher, then a supervisor, and finally first an elementary, then a middle school principal, who desired to serve even remotely in the style of Mr. Bennie Morrison. He was first my principal, became my favorite mentor, and was always my friend.
WHAT a role model for us all! He lived such a life of service! May we all look to his awesome example as we strive to live the life that will lead us to the Heavenly Home he now graces. Thank you, Mr. Bennie........”rest high on that mountain”! You will certainly be missed!

I am so sorry for your loss. Bennie was a Godly inspiration to me throughout my life. He was always involved in Vacation Bible School when we came from My. Pleasant. He was my eighth grade teacher, and my siblings' as well. He served God mightily in every way. He sang at my Mother's funeral at her request (Willie Mae Garrett). This world has lost a beautiful soul, but I know he has joined a choir singing to God in heaven.ay this assurance give you comfort. Mary Ann Garrett Jackson.

Mr. Bennie was my eighth grade teacher at the “old” Anderson School building. He was energetic, enthusiastic and very serious (in a very good) way about our learning, which was a great gift to everyone he taught. I recall being impressed that he never exhibited any tendencies to have a favorite student nor let on that any student irritated him. That has to be rare and difficult for an engaged teacher. Mr. Bennie touched many lives and leaves a legacy in each of us. May he being rejoicing in song!

Mr. Bernie Morrison has gone on to be with Lord. (my 2nd cousin) He was a great principal at Anderson Grammar School when I was a boy in Brownsville and a super music director at Harmony Baptist in Haywood County where I went as a young boy. He filled big shoes and touched so many! Many things I learned from him and some I have used over and over. (Structure (school), Dedication, Persistence) Thank you God for Mr. Bennie.

He was the sweetest man and my Mamaw just loved him so... the reunion they must have had in heaven!!! I was so blessed to have known him my entire life as a music worship leader as a precious man of God as an encourager in my singing and love for music and as a principal. He was firm but fair and loving... He has left a legacy that will bless all those that were so blessed to have known him... My deepest sympathy to his family but a heart that rejoices knowing he is praising our Savior
