It's a bit awkward for me to call him Mr. Bill because I always knew him as "coach". I have great memories of basketball and baseball practices and games under his guidance. Going to the state basketball tournament in Knoxville in 1967 was the ultimate thrill. Coach Emerson obviously has left his mark on the lives and careers of countless others by his leadership in the education system. I wish his family peace and comfort during this difficult time. Respectfully, Bob Stephenson

Mr. Emerson was superintendent back 25 plus years ago when I was the Elem. School Counselor for all of the Elem. Schools in Crockett County. I lived in Jackson and drove there each school day for 9 years. During that time Mr. Emerson was so kind to me and checked many times to make sure I had every single thing I needed. He asked my advice on many things and made me feel so valued as a counselor and welcome in the Crockett Co. School System. Always made a point to talk to me at all school events etc. He was such a nice man and a wonderful leader for the Crockett County School System. I will never forget him. What a great loss of a great man. He will be missed by so very many.
Rest In Peace Mr. Bill Emerson.

At this time I badly wish it wasn’t so far between Tennessee and Sweden. We love our Pawpaw Bill with all our hearts and will miss him so.
