Obituary of Deborah Ann Haase Lewis

Deborah Ann Haase Lewis, age 60, passed away Thursday, February 18, 2021 at Bolivar General Hospital in Bolivar, TN. Funeral Services will be conducted Monday, February 22, 2021 at 2:00 PM in Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church with Bro. Alan McCall officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. A visitation will be held on Monday, February 22, 2021 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church. Deborah was born on September 30, 1960 in Hardeman County to Robert and Rose Marie Haase. She worked as a bookkeeper for Rawhide Feed in Whiteville, TN. She was a lover of the outdoors, and found great joy in feeding the birds, the cows and all the other animals. She loved her church and was a faithful member. Cooking for her family and friends brought happiness to her heart. She is survived by her husband, Gerald Lewis of Whiteville, TN; one daughter, Heather Bufford of Jackson, TN; one brother, Donald Haase of Whiteville, TN; her father, Robert Haase of Whiteville, TN, as well as several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother, Rose Marie Haase. Pallbearers for the service will be Mike Johnson, Gaylon Johnson, Tom Berry, Shannon Peterson, Randy Goodman, and Joey Phillips. Honorary Pallbearers will be Aaron Martin and James Pittman. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church or Mt. Pleasant UMC Cemetery, 315 Mt. Pleasant Rd., Whiteville, TN 38075. All services and arrangements are under the direction of Lea & Simmons Funeral Home in Brownsville, TN.
