Obituary of Leon Heron

Leon Howard Heron, age 82, passed away Tuesday, April 13, 2021 in Baptist Memorial Hospital-Huntingdon. He was born on March 2, 1939 in McAlester, OK. He worked at the Eel River Sawmill. He also served his country in the United States Navy. Mr. Leon is survived by his wife, Donna Cox Heron of Brownsville, TN; two sons, Robert Heron (Deborah) of Lebanon, KS, and Marvin Heron of Phoenix, AZ; one daughter, Christina Walker (Sean) of Mill Valley, CA, and four grandchildren, Samantha L., Dirk, Casey, Samatha. He was preceded in death by his parents, Marvin Heron and Lorinne Bais. The Heron Family has chosen cremation, and they will have a Memorial Service to celebrate his life on Tuesday, April 20, 2021 at 11:00 AM at the Westside Church of Christ in Brownsville, TN. All services and arrangements are under the direction of Lea and Simmons Funeral Home.
