Obituary of Jean Davis Dedmon

Jean Davis Harlowe Dedmon, age 76, passed away Saturday, June 5, 2021 in Jackson Madison County General Hospital in Jackson, TN. Funeral Services will be conducted Tuesday, June 8, 2021 at 4:00 PM in Walnut Hill Baptist Church in Bells, TN with Bro. Rowdy Davis and Bro. Ken Skelton officiating. Burial will follow in Walnut Hill Cemetery. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 8, 2021 at Walnut Hill Baptist Church from 2:00 – 4:00 PM. Jean was born on December 27, 1944 to Theron and Ruby Davis. She loved her husband, her family and enjoyed spending time with them. She was a cosmetologist by trade and never met a stranger. She spent her free time sewing, working in the yard, trading and going to yard sales. Those left behind to cherish her memory are her husband of 28 years, Fred Dedmon of Bells, TN; a son, Ryan Richards (Amy), Jackson, TN; her daughter, Robi Richards Warner (Read) of Nashville, TN, three step- daughters, Stacy Smith of Atlanta, GA, Jo Anna Smith, (Joe) of Germantown, TN, Allison Estes (Justin) of Medina, TN; one brother, Charles Davis of Adairville, KY; one sister, Joan Hysmith of Nashville, TN; twelve grandchildren, Grant Richards, Christian Barnhill, Allie Frye, Kate Warner, Molly Warner, Jacob Estes, Josie Estes, Jack Estes, Emmie Smith, Drew Smith, Hannah Smith and Ally Smith, as well as one great grandchild, London Smith. She was preceded in death by her parents, Theron Winston Davis and Ruby Gertrude Rinks Davis; one brother, William Davis; one sister, Judy Matlock and a sister-in-law, Mary Anne Davis. The family has requested memorials in her memory be given to Walnut Hill Baptist Church Cemetery, 1225 Walnut Hill Church Road, Bells, TN 38006. All arrangements and services are under the direction of Lea and Simmons Funeral Group-Bells Chapel.
