Michael Grant Alexander, age 73, passed away on Saturday, June 5, 2021 at his home in Collierville, TN. A service will be held on Wednesday, June 9, 2021 at 2:00 pm at Tabernacle Methodist Church, 3000 Tabernacle Road, Brownsville, TN with Dr. Eli Morris officiating. Burial will follow at the Tabernacle Cemetery. Grant grew up in Kansas City, Missouri, where he lived most of his life. He graduated from Memphis State University. Grant had many successful business endeavors in his career and came to Collierville, TN, in 1996 where he started Contractors Shutter and Hardware, becoming well known in the building community for many years. Grant was active at Living Hope of Piperton, TN. He loved golf and built many wonderful relationships with friends on the golf course over his lifetime. He was an avid fan of the Kansas City Chiefs. He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Mary Williamson Alexander and three stepchildren Sam Walton (Charlotte), Hannah McCall (Charles) and Sarah Hearn (James) and was “GrantPa” to seven grandchildren. He was also survived by his sister Dana Morris (Rocky) and six nephews. Grant was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Aldentha Alexander and one sister, Linda Dickens (Doug). Memorials may be sent to the Tabernacle Cemetery Foundation, Betsy Thornton, 57 Old Highway 19, Brownsville, TN. All services and arrangements are under the direction of the Lea & Simmons Funeral Home in Brownsville, TN.
