Obituary of Sharon Felts Baird

Sharon Felts Baird passed away on Monday, July 12, 2021, at her residence in Bolivar, TN. Funeral Services will be conducted on Thursday, July 15, 2021, at 1:00 PM at the First United Methodist Church in Bolivar, TN, with Rev. Mark Templeton officiating. Burial will follow at the Bolivar Memorial Cemetery. A visitation for Mrs. Baird will be on Thursday, July 15, 2021, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the First United Methodist Church in Bolivar, TN. Sharon was born on January 29, 1948, in Haywood County to William and Geneva Felts. She grew up in Brownsville before later moving to Bolivar. She worked as a Dental Hygienist for Dr. Harold Fitts, DDS. She was a faithful member of the First United Methodist Church in Bolivar. She loved her family and will be greatly missed by them. The pride and joy of her life was spending time with her family and especially her grandchildren. She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Hunter Baird of Bolivar, TN; one son, Curtis Baird (Amanda) of Hornsby, TN; one daughter, Mandy Baker (Jeff) of Bolivar, TN; one brother, Bill Felts, Jr. (Linda) of Memphis, TN and 4 grandchildren, Sam Baker, Will Baker, Jaxon Baird, and Nick Baird. She was preceded in death by her parents, William Curtis Felts, Sr. and Geneve Pemberton Felts. Pallbearers for the service are Dave Burrell, Rick Cody, Wayne Dunavant, Jimmy Nuckolls, Larry Ross, and Harold Wilhite. Serving as Honorary Pallbearers will be George Mitchell, James Mitchell, Gerald Shelton, Barrett Stevens, Bob Vickers and Wayne Webster. In lieu of flowers the family has requested memorials be made to the American Cancer Society, c/o Debbie Moore, Centennial Bank, P.O. Box 280, Bolivar, TN 38008 or the Alzheimer’s Association, 4825 Trousdale Drive, Suite 220, Nashville, TN 37220. All services and arrangements are under the direction of the Lea & Simmons Funeral Home in Brownsville, TN.
