Obituary of "Sissy" Chassity Smith Hendrix

“Sissy” Chassity Smith Hendrix, age 43, passed away Friday, August 13, 2021, at the Jackson-Madison County General Hospital in Jackson, TN. A Graveside Funeral Service will be conducted Monday, August 16, 2021, at 10:30 AM in Brownsville Memorial Gardens with Bro. Eddie Mallonee officiating. Burial will follow in Brownsville Memorial Gardens. Sissy loved her family and enjoyed telling stories in her fun loving way. She was always a joy to be around and spend time with. She is survived by her husband, Michael Hendrix, Jr., Brownsville, TN; three daughters, Haley Hendrix, Mikayla Hendrix (Eli) both of Brownsville, TN, Shelby Bell (Ryan) of Horn Lake, MS; her mother, Debbie Smith, a sister, Charlene Smith (Steve), both of Brownsville, TN; two grandchildren, Michael Scifres and Logan Bell. Sissy was preceded in death by her father, Danny Smith and a brother, Michael Smith. In lieu of flowers, memorials are requested to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, P.O. Box 1000, Dept. 142, Memphis, TN 38101-9908. All arrangements and services are under the direction of the Lea & Simmons Funeral Home in Brownsville, TN.
