Obituary of Charles Wendell Keaton

Charles “Wendell” Keaton, age 69, was born on August 6th, 1952 in Welch, West Virginia. He left this world to be with his Heavenly Father on August 15, 2021. He was preceded in death by his father, Charles “Red” Keaton and his mother Elizabeth “Betty” Ann Keaton. He leaves behind a loving brother, Nelson Keaton sister-in-law, Shelia Keaton and one niece Casie Keaton and one nephew Cory Keaton along with a large group of friends that loved him dearly. He graduated from West Virginia University, Phi Beta Kappa, in 1976 with a Masters Degree in Public Administration and worked for approximately 20 years in Oakland, Maryland as a City Manager. He moved to West Tennessee in 2015 to be with his family he loved so much. A private family Memorial Service will be held at Herb Parsons Lake in Oakland, TN. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorials be made to Polycystic Kidney Foundation, P.O. Box 871847, Kansas City, MO 64187, or to the Fayette County Animal Rescue, P.O. Box 44, Rossville, TN 38066. All arrangements and services are under the direction of the Lea & Simmons Funeral Home in Brownsville, TN.
