Obituary of Sylvia Marie Hart

Sylvia Marie Hart, age 67, passed away Friday, September 3, 2021, in the Alamo Healthcare & Rehab Center in Alamo, TN. Her Funeral Service will be conducted on Thursday, September 9, 2021, at 4:00 PM in the Lea & Simmons Funeral Home Chapel in Brownsville, TN with Bro. Jeffrey Horton officiating. Burial will follow in Brownsville Memorial Gardens. A visitation will be conducted on Thursday, September 9, 2021, 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM in the Lea & Simmons Funeral Home. Sylvia Hart was born on September 12, 1953, in Haywood County. She was a homemaker. She is survived by her life partner, Charles Goodman, Jr. of Alamo, TN; two sons, Devin Hart, Charles “Monkey” Goodman, III (Angela Hensley) of Enville, TN; a brother, Ed Thomason (Pam) of Brownsville, TN; three sisters, Barbara Robinson (James) of Laurel, MS, Mary Tucker of Brownsville, TN, Marty Fite of Humboldt, TN; two grandchildren, Laila Goodman and Chloe Goodman. She was preceded in death by her parents, Samuel and Beulah Austin Thomason; two brothers, Sonny Thomason, Mike Thomason; two sisters, Yvonne Mathias and Bessie Norwood. Pallbearers for the service are Jeff Austin, Bobby Goodman, Teddy Keith Norwood, Mark Tucker, Jonathan King, and Lowe Finney. Honorary Pallbearers are Greg Austin, Mark Austin and Rey Mandujano. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, P.O. Box 1000, Dept. 142, Memphis, TN 38101-9908.
