Alvin Wayne Wallace, age 81, passed away on Sunday, September 19, 2021, at West Tennessee Healthcare Dyersburg Hospital. A Memorial Visitation for Mr. Wallace will be held on Wednesday, September 22, 2021, from 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM at the Lea & Simmons Funeral Home Chapel in Brownsville, TN.
Wayne was born on October 6, 1939, in Dyer County. He served his country in the United States Marine Corp and later worked as an electrician for Forked Deere Electric Cooperative.
He was survived by 3 sons, Jason Wayne Wallace of Etowah, N.C., Stephen Michael Nijak of Henning, TN, and Alvin Wayne Wallace, Jr. of Nashville, TN; two daughters, Maria Wallace of Brownsville, TN and Debra Whitt of Dyersburg, TN; two brothers, James Wallace of Halls, TN and Henry Wallace of Dalton, GA. He also leaves behind 9 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents.
All arrangements are under the direction of the Lea & Simmons Funeral Home in Brownsville, TN.
