Obituary of James Dale Howell

James Dale Howell, age 73, passed away on Sunday, January 9, 2022, at his residence in Brownsville, TN. Graveside Funeral Services for Mr. Howell will be held Wednesday, January 12, 2022, at 3:00 PM at Brownsville Memorial Gardens with Bro. John Hayes officiating. Interment will follow the graveside service. James was born on January 3, 1949, in Hardeman County, TN to Odis Haskill Howell and Graple Samantha Marshall Howell. He worked as a heavy equipment mechanic for Caterpillar. He was also a Certified Briggs and Stratton Master Technician. He enjoyed gardening and hunting. He is survived by his wife, Jessie Howell of Brownsville, TN; one daughter, one step-son, three brothers, three sisters and six grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and one step-daughter. Pallbearers for the service will be Justin Warren, Jacob Warren, Wayne Warren, Donald Barr, Wayne Qualls, and Ricky Joe Hayes. In lieu of flowers, memorials made be made to Shaw’s Chapel Baptist Church, 3772 Shaw’s Chapel Rd., Brownsville, TN 38012. All services and arrangements are under the direction of the Lea & Simmons Funeral Home in Brownsville, TN.
