Obituary of Celia Marroquin Perez

Celia Marroquin Perez, age 75, a resident of Brownsville, TN, departed this life Wednesday, January 12, 2022. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, January 22, 2022, at 5:30 PM at the MRI Church in Brownsville, TN. Celia was born on April 6, 1946, in Ciudad Mante, Tamaulipas, Mexico. She moved from Mexico to Brownsville about 25 years ago. She worked as a nurse during her early years and worked at LASCO while in Brownsville. She was a homemaker and loved to cook. She always brought joy to her family and was a peacemaker in the family. She loved the Lord and her family. She is survived by her husband, Vincent Perez of Brownsville, TN; one daughter, Agueda Perez; three brothers, Erazmo de leon, Efren de leon, Lazaro de leon, six sisters, Benigna de leon, Ana Gerrero Vera, Beatriz de leon, Ma Amalia de leon, Maria de leon, Maria de Jesus de leon; her grandchildren, Sarai Perez, Celia Perez, Joel Perez, Jr., Daniel Perez, and 10 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Juan de leon Tamayo and Pascuala Morales Marroquin; one son, Joel Perez; one brother, Gregorio Marroquin; one sister, Onoria Marroquin and one granddaughter, Yadiralia Perez. All arrangements and services are under the direction of the Lea & Simmons Funeral Home.
