Obituary of Robert "Bo" Moore, Jr.

Robert “Bo” Denton Moore, Jr. age 78, a resident of Gates, TN, departed this life Thursday, January 20, 2022. He was born on October 20, 1943, in Luxora, AR to Robert and Daisy Moore, Sr., who preceded him in death. He worked as a heavy equipment operator in the construction business. He enjoyed hunting, raising horses and spending time at the river. He loved his family and especially his grandchildren. One of his hobbies was scrapping, whether buying or selling. He was survived by two sons, Ronnie Moore of Brighton, TN and David Moore of Dyersburg, TN; three brothers, George Moore, James Moore, Steve Moore; three sisters, Debbie Moore Green, Joan Moore, Judy Marcum and eight grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Bo was preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn Elaine Kennedy Moore; two brothers, Richard Moore and William Moore; three sisters, Geraldine Moore, Marilyn Cotham, and Verna Burke. The family has honored his wishes for cremation and no services are scheduled at the present time. Memorials may be made to the National Pancreatic Cancer Foundation (NPCF), P. O. Box 1848, Longmont, CO 80502. All arrangements are under the direction of the Lea & Simmons Funeral Home in Brownsville, TN.
