Pollyanna and family, we are so sorry to hear that your father passed away on February 14th, but glad that his WWII Ranger buddies will welcome him above with open arms. There were almost 7000 WWII Rangers from the 7 Ranger Battalions. Today there are only 16 remaining... I am so glad that your father recently got to go to the middle Tennessee luncheon with more other Rangers - I know they really enjoyed having him there. I am also sorry that we did not get the Congressional Gold Medal awarded while your father was still with us, as I know he would have been so proud to share that national honor with you and his friends. Let us know the funeral arrangements in Wisconsin and we will try to get an "Once An Eagle" service arranged if you would like this. Your father knew this very well - Rangers Lead The Way!
