Obituary of Doris Ervin Crawford

Doris Ervin Crawford, age 92, passed away on Tuesday, November 22, 2022, at the Jackson Madison County General Hospital. Funeral Services will be conducted on Sunday, November 27, 2022, at 2:00 P.M. in the Chapel of the Brownsville Funeral Home. Burial to follow in the Oakwood Cemetery. A visitation will be held on Sunday, November 27, 2022, at the Brownsville Funeral Home from 12:30 P.M. until the service hour at 2:00 P.M. Mrs. Doris was born in Haywood County, TN on December 25, 1929, to the late J.C. Ervin and Irene Eddy Ervin. She moved to the Whiteville area at an early age. She worked several years at Wells Lamont Corporation and retired from Kilgore Corporation. She loved to travel and toured Europe, Eastern and Western Canada and Many points of interest in the States after retirement. She loved flowers, music, reading and crocheting. She was a member of the Whiteville Methodist Church. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 50 years: Toy Percer Crawford, Sr; and one daughter: Marcia Diane Crawford Walton; four brothers and three sisters. She is survived by one son: Toy Percer Crawford, Jr. (Betty) of Sequin, TX; one daughter: Nancy Crawford Tucker (Bill) of Mt. Ida, AR; She leaves a legacy of six grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Whiteville Methodist Church, P.O.
