Mrs. Betty Wallers Alexander, age 81, passed away July 11, 2014 at her daughter's home in Brownsville, TN. Funeral Services will be held Monday, July 14, 2014, at 10 A.M. in the Lea and Simmons Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery. Visitation for the family will be Sunday, July 13, 2014, 4 to 7 PM in the Lea and Simmons Funeral Home. She was preceded in death by her parents: Archie and Mae Ollie Wright Austin and a son: Steven Russell Wallers. She is survived by her husband: Eugene Alexander, Brownsville, Tennessee, a daughter: Geri Roland, Brownsville, TN, a brother: Harold Austin, (Betty) Jackson, TN, two sisters: Jean Austin, Brownsville, TN, Geraldine Parimore, Millington, TN, a granddaughter: Erica Held Simpson (Jonathan) and a great-granddaughter: Bettye Madisyn Taylor. Memorials are requested to: Hospice of West Tennessee, 1804 US Highway 45 Bypass, Suite 100, Jackson, TN 38305.
