Funeral Services for Louis Diabus Baddour Jr. will be conducted at 2:00 P.M., Friday, April 30, 2010 in the First Presbyterian Church, Brownsville, TN. Burial will follow in Brownsville Memorial Gardens. Louis passed away Wednesday, April 28, 2010 in the Haywood Park Community Hospital. A merchant, dancer, musician and soldier, but not necessarily in such order, Louis Diabus Baddour, Jr. lived a long and happy life in Brownsville surrounded by a large, supportive family who he loved in return. His parents Esther Haddad and Dr. Louis Baddour immigrated from Lebanon. Along with other members of their clans, they populated and distinguished themselves in West Tennessee. Louis is remembered for his good nature, smile and thrift. He was compassionate about his family, music and dance. Louis was a quiet patriot whose love of country was genuine and never worn on his sleeve. Despite his military service and time as a prisoner of war, he never expected anything in return from his country. He was one of the reasons his generation is called the greatest. Louis was preceded in death by his parents, Dr. Louis Diabus Baddour Sr. and Esther Haddad Baddour, by two brothers, Mitchell Baddour and Sam Baddour and by two sisters, Emma Baddour Tucker and Geneva Baddour Joseph. Louis is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Baddour, by two daughters, Annette Baddour Hill (Larry), and Amy Baddour Morse (Wayne), by one sister, Marie Baddour Cobb and by one grandson, John Reed Hill (Marie). Visitation for the Baddour family will be Friday, April 30, 2010 between 12:00 and 2:00 P.M. at the First Presbyterian Church, Brownsville, TN. A special thank you to his caregiver, Mrs. Lezette Rucker and all the compassionate staff at Haywood Park Community Hospital, Brownsville, TN. The family request in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to the First Presbyterian Church, 109 W.
