Obituary of Mary Halbrook

Mary Ann Willis Halbrook, age 78 passed away in the Jackson Madison County General Hospital on Tuesday, October 19th. Funeral services will be conducted in the First United Methodist Church, Thursday, October 21st at 10:00 AM with Rev. Bob Connerley and Dr. Phillip Cook officiating. Burial will follow in the Springhill United Methodist Church Cemetery. A visitation for the Halbrook family will be Wednesday, October 20th 5-8 PM in the First United Methodist Church. Mrs. Halbrook received her master's degree from Memphis State University, a retired school teacher for Haywood and Crockett counties and a retired real estate broker with Richards-Cummins real estate. Throughout her life she was an active member of the Garden Club, 6th Review Club, DAR, McKinnie Pals, the UMW and the National Association of Realtors. She is preceded in death by her husband: Jimmy Halbrook and her parents: William and Pansy Willis. Mrs. Halbrook is survived by two sons: Mike Halbrook (Sharon) Coppell, TX, Mark Halbrook (Denise) Brownsville, TN; her mother in law: Mary Neil Halbrook; sister in law: Sheila Weir, both of Bells, TN and a niece; Patricia Nolen (Hunter) Memphis, TN. three grandchildren: Dr. Rachel Wright (Jeff) Denver, CO; Jim Halbrook (Alexis) Jackson, TN; Sarah Halbrook, Dallas, TX. and a great-grandchild: Avery Wright, Denver, CO. In lieu of flowers family request memorials be made to: Reelfoot Rural Ministries, 6923 Minnick-Elbridge Road, Obion, TN 38240.
