Obituary of Ben Butler

Mr. Ben Allen Butler, age 42, passed away in Baptist Memorial Hospital in Memphis, TN on Monday evening, June 28, 2010. Memorial Services will be Thursday evening in the First United Methodist Church in Brownsville, TN, Thursday, July 1, 2010 at 7:00 PM, with Rev. Sammy Tillman, Dr. Joe Thornton and Dr. Phillip Cook officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday, June 30, 2010 from 6:00-8:00 PM and Thursday, July 1, 2010 from 5:00 - 7:00 PM at the church. Ben was a 1986 graduate of Haywood High School. He then earned a B.S. degree from Lambuth University in 1990 where he was a member of the Kappa Sigma Fraternity. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church and a licensed insurance agent at Moore Insurance for nineteen years. Ben had a love for music, hunting, fishing and his friends. He was preceded in death by his wife: Memrie Haney Butler. He is survived by his parents: Billy and Bettye Butler, Brownsville, TN; and his brother: John Butler (McKeen), Brownsville, TN.
