J.O. and I flew many 2 & 3 day trips together and in so doing you get to know your crew pretty well. You get to know their likes and dislikes, their interest and hobbys, but most of ALL, their character. In twenty-five year with Braniff I never meet and enjoyed any one more than J.O.. His humor, his value system and his giving attitude drew people to him. He spoke often of his family of which he was very proud. You that J.O. left behind have a great void in your life but you also have a GREAT legacy that will be yours forever. As a fellow pilot and Amway distributor, I thank GOD for J.O.'s contribution to my life. Captain Ralph Slater

We will miss you Uncle John. This has been a tragic loss to our entire family. You have been more than we ever thought you could be to all of us. Thank you for all that you have done for mom, dad and nanny over the years and especially, for Aunt Linda. The day that you came in to her life, changed her life forever. We love you and know that you will always be with us. Aunt Linda, You know how much we adored John and how much we adore you. We love you and are praying for you and the entire Johnson family.

God must have needed a very special angel when he took John. He was such a wonderful person. We loved every time we were around him. He and Linda were always so gracious to us. Our hearts break for Linda, Julianna, Daniel and the whole family. We want to send all of you our love and prayers. John was one of a kind.
