Mr. John O. Johnson, III, age 73 passed away at Haywood Park Community Hospital on Thursday, July 15, 2010. Funeral Services will be conducted at 2:30 P.M., Monday, July 19, 2010 in Brownsville Baptist Church with Rev. Bob Connerley officiating. Burial will follow in Tabernacle United Methodist Church Cemetery. Visitation for the Johnson family will be Monday, July 19, 2010 from 10-12 noon in the Brownsville Baptist Church. Mr. Johnson was preceded in death by his parents: John O. Johnson, Jr. and Ruby Kinney Johnson. Mr. Johnson is survived by his wife: Mrs. Linda Mathews Johnson, Brownsville, TN; one son: Hunter Johnson (Robin), Dallas, TX; three daughters: Julianna Johnson Garrison (Daniel), Colleyville, TX; Cynthia Johnson, Washington, DC; and Capp Johnson Crofford (Jonathan) Dallas, TX; one brother: Jim Johnson (Beth), Pickwick, TN; one sister: Cappie Saunders (Ed), Memphis, TN, and seven grandchildren: Jennifer Stevenson, Samuel Crofford, Claire Crofford, Jacqueline Johnson, Adelle Crofford, Ava Capp Crofford and Aidan Johnson. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Tabernacle United Methodist Church Cemetery Fund, c/o Betsy Thornton, 57 Old Hwy 19, Brownsville, TN 38012 or the Gideons International , P.O. Box 544, Brownsville, TN 38012.
